Application

Agriculture:

MAP and DAP are nice agricultural nitrogen fertilizers:‌

MAP, with an N ratio of 1:1 (e.g., 10-50-0), is ideal for crops requiring balanced nitrogen and phosphorus uptake, such as wheat and corn. It is particularly suitable for acidic soils due to its mildly acidic pH (4.4–4.8), which helps neutralize alkaline conditions.

DAP, with a higher phosphorus ratio (N of 1:2, e.g., 18-46-0), is preferred for phosphorus-demanding crops( fruits, vegetables, and tubers, and performs) well in neutral-to-alkaline soils. While DAP’s alkaline pH (7.8–8.2) benefits calcareous soils, it may reduce phosphorus availability in high-calcium or hardwater regions. Both fertilizers are water-soluble, enabling efficient use in irrigation systems, but farmers should select based on crop needs, soil pH, and local nutrient retention conditions to optimize efficiency and minimize environmental impact.

Food Industry:

Food additives, as a nutritional fortifier and cookies and dough improver for bread.
